Day 1: Our adventure begins as we depart from Johannesburg and head northeast towards the mesmerizing Blyde River Canyon. En route, we'll enjoy scenic drives through the picturesque landscapes of Mpumalanga province. Along the way, we'll make stops at quaint towns and viewpoints to soak in the breathtaking panoramas. After a few hours of travel, we'll arrive at Blyde River Canyon, one of the largest green canyons in the world. Our first day will be capped off with a leisurely exploration of the canyon's viewpoints, including the iconic Three Rondavels and God's Window, where you can witness the dramatic cliffs and lush foliage that make this area so enchanting. After a day filled with natural wonders and stunning vistas, we'll settle into our accommodations at the canyon.
Day 2: Today, if you feel up for it,we lace up our hiking boots for an exhilarating morning adventure along the Leopard and Guinea Fowl trails in the Blyde River Canyon. With each step, you'll be surrounded by the serene beauty of this natural wonder. The trails will lead us through a diverse landscape of indigenous forests and rugged terrain, offering breathtaking views of the canyon's expansive vistas. Along the way, we'll encounter sparkling waterfalls cascading down the cliffs and crystal-clear pools inviting you for a refreshing dip. Another night under the star-studded African sky awaits us in this enchanting corner of Blyde River Canyon.
Day 3: Our journey continues as we bid farewell to the stunning Blyde River Canyon and make our way to the world-famous Kruger National Park. En route, we'll traverse through the mesmerizing landscapes of Mpumalanga and Limpopo provinces, keeping an eye out for wildlife along the way. After a morning of travel, we'll reach one of the most unique lunch spots on the planet: the wildest golf course in the world. Here, you can savor a delicious meal while surrounded by the untamed beauty of the African bush. Our adventure then takes us deeper into Kruger National Park, where we'll explore bird hides, offering prime opportunities for birdwatching and observing other wildlife in their natural habitat. As the day unfolds, the landscapes will transform, and the golden hues of the African sunset will paint the sky. We'll arrive at the Skukuza Rest Camp, nestled within the heart of Kruger National Park, where we'll settle in for the night.
Day 4: Our day starts with an exhilarating guided safari walk in the heart of Kruger National Park, departing from Skukuza Rest Camp. Led by experienced guides, this immersive experience allows us to connect with the African wilderness on foot, discovering the smaller marvels of nature often missed during game drives. With every step, we'll learn about animal tracks, spot diverse bird species, and feel the pulse of the bushveld. After the morning adventure, we'll head south towards Lower Sabie, a picturesque rest camp nestled along the Sabie River. Here, we'll enjoy a delightful lunch while gazing out at the serene waters, often teeming with wildlife. The soothing ambiance of the riverbank provides the perfect setting to relax and reflect on our safari experiences. Our journey then leads us to the enchanting Marloth Park, where we'll arrive at our safari lodge that will serve as our base for the next few days. This unique wildlife conservation area borders Kruger National Park and offers the chance to encounter wildlife right at your doorstep. Day 5: Start your day with a morning safari drive, entering the park through the iconic Crocodile Bridge gate. Encounter diverse wildlife species in their natural habitat. After the morning safari, return to Marloth Park for a relaxing afternoon, where you can unwind and savor the tranquil beauty of the surroundings. As the sun sets, get ready for an exhilarating night drive in Kruger National Park, offering a unique opportunity to spot elusive nocturnal creatures and witness the park's after-dark mysteries come to life.
Day 6: After a leisurely lunch, set out on a game drive in the Kruger National Park once again. Depart in the early morning, to visit this culturally rich area where you'll be greeted by picturesque landscapes and warm Swazi hospitality. Your day will be filled with cultural immersion, as you visit vibrant markets, witness traditional dances, and explore local craft centers showcasing intricate bead-work and woodcarvings. As the sun sets, return to Marloth Park, carrying with you the memories of a day filled with cultural experiences and breathtaking landscapes in this hidden gem of southern Africa.
Day 9: Make the most of your final safari day in the southern reaches of Kruger National Park.
Day 10: On your last day, we'll ensure a smooth and comfortable journey from the Southern Kruger back to Johannesburg, tailored to your preferences and needs. You will have a seamless and scenic journey back to Johannesburg. Your final day is designed to be stress-free, ensuring a relaxing conclusion to your South African adventure.
